Long story short, I'll be off to work in China in a few weeks and I'd like to up my game in Chinese, from almost complete beginner to a more useful stage! It'd be wonderful if I could actually chitchat a bit with the people I will work with in their native language. Best way to create bonds and truly understand them!
If you are Chinese or are fluent in Chinese (Putonghua), I'd love to chat with you on a regular basis, through mail and maybe later with Skype or something when I feel confident I can finally make a different sound for 'Mother', 'Horse' and 'Insult' ;)
We can talk about anything, of course our own culture and the like, but also movies, music, sports (doing, not watching!), computer stuff, nerdy games (yes, I admit that I play Weiqi and other even nerdier games), etc... As people say, the sky is the limit!
While French is my mother tongue, both due to my job (working with the US, all of Europe, India and now, China) and my field (IT), I think I'm fairly fluent in English :) I should be able to help you improve if that's your goal and you aren't already fluent!
