- Hi! My name is Jarret, and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am currently 13 years old but will turn 14 on May 9th, 2020. I am half caucasian American and half Chinese American. I am gay and my pronouns are he/him/his. I'd describe myself as chill, open-minded, hard-working, artsy, and generally optimistic. I enjoy studying, writing English poetry and essays, reading fiction and nonfiction books and articles, practicing math, playing piano, fashion, listening to music, learning languages, traveling, making YouTube videos (but I have little subscribers haha), drinking milk tea, and bullet journaling. I am currently a dedicated learner of Mandarin and Spanish, and I want to study either Korean, Japanese, or Arabic in the future. One day, I hope I have the opportunity to travel to China. I have been to many cities in the United States, such as New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Las Vegas. Although a California boy at heart, I love relaxing in Hawaii and exploring in New York City. I love Seattle for its rain (no one seems to get this, but rain is great). I have also travelled abroad to Mexico, Spain, the UK, USVI, BVI, Ireland, Canada, and Colombia.
I had been trapped by the allure of anime when I watched the first season of Fruits Basket (2019). I hope to watch more anime in the future. I also like kpop, especially BTS! I like Blackpink, EXO, and NCT as well. My favorite Chinese artists are Lexie Liu, VAVA, and Higher Brothers. My favorite western artists are Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Conan Gray, Drake, DaBaby, and Halsey. When I am studying, I listen to classical piano or lofi hip hop. I am open to any new music suggestions! At the moment, my favorite movie is Parasite.
