I am Joy.
I am an American-born Sicilian-Italian half breed, an empty-nester solo parent, and enjoy rewarding work being a teacher, too. I am interested in US Penpals of all cultures, ages 40-59, and penpals from Italy.
At 45, my two adult children are on their own- exploring, discovering, & learning about the life they want, while I rediscover a renewed self on many levels. It is an interesting & exciting adventure, most of which I enjoy very much!
I value deep spiritual connections with the Divine Creator ("God") vs organized religion, while gleaning something good, loving, & positive from most all world religions. Similarly, unity, peace, human equality, fairness, justice, sustainability, humane animal husbandry, & safety are important to me, as well as fresh, locally-grown veggie-dense whole foods, and some daily quiet time to myself. A sensitivity to all is part of me, and appreciate the same in friendships and others.
My passions include teaching children kindness & to believe in their abilities, daily gratitude and inspiration, vision boards, art, culture, reading spiritual fiction, holistic health, long nature walks, badminton, pedalboating, freestyle dancing at home, sailing, and more.
